Ana Guilarte's latest exhibition: “From Notting Hill”
Artist’s 3rd Solo Exhibition in London at The Tabernacle
Following the success of her previous exhibitions in London, Ana Guilarte will be showcasing her third solo exhibition in April 2013, at The Tabernacle, Notting Hill. The artist’s new abstract work mixes acrylic and enamel on different sized canvas; the collection of 50 new paintings entitled ‘From Notting Hill’ will open on Wednesday April 24th and continue throughout the 28th of April.
A private reception will be held on the opening day from 6.30pm to 10pm, where the artist will introduce her paintings and donate one her artworks for a raffle to raise funds for Cris Cancer Foundation, an independent non-profit organization, dedicated to the promotion and development of research to eliminate this serious health threat.
Born in Salamanca (Spain) in 1980 and raised in Valladolid, Ana has had a strong passion for art and painting since a very young age. She also holds two BA degrees in History of Arts and Conservation Art & Restoration. Passionate about contemporary art and photography, the painter’s work takes inspiration from abstract expressionists such as Rothko, Pollock, Franz Kline and De Kooning.
In 2007 Ana moved to London looking for new influences and a more cosmopolitan art market. Working at Vegas Gallery, a contemporary art gallery situated in the heart of East London, she gained an understanding of ‘the other side’ of the story.
